About this Blog

Chant for a Better Life shares with everyone actual proofs of how Soka Gakkai International (SGI) members from around the world overcome challenges to lead a happy and fulfilling life by practicing Nichiren Buddhism, chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and participating in kosen-rufu activities.

These testimonials, written in first person, aim to encourage everyone to fight with determination any difficulties they face in their lives – that, by embracing Nichiren Buddhism, you can find a way out of life’s hardships to achieve happiness.

As we may be facing similar situations that these SGI members had gone through, we can learn from them how to defeat these adversities and achieve victories in life.

Last but not least, Chant for a Better Life hopes to encourage non-practitioners – especially those who are currently facing problems in their lives – to chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, take up faith in Nichiren Buddhism and join SGI activities by offering real-life accounts of how SGI members, through their practice of Nichiren Buddhism and participation in kosen-rufu activities, overcome their lives’ struggles and gain victories.

Sharing Your Testimonials
You are encouraged to share your experiences on this blog by emailing your testimonial to actualproofs[at]yahoo.com (note: [at] = @). Please include your name (abbreviation is fine), age, country, division (YWD, YMD, WD or MD), number of years of practice and any Gosho or President Ikeda’s guidance that encourage you. You may attach your photograph too.

We will post your real-life accounts on this blog in the shortest time possible.

Note: Chant for a Better Life is not an official SGI site.  It is created by a SGI member who hope to share with everyone the joy of practising Nichiren Buddhism, chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and kosen-rufu activities, and how embracing this faith can overcome life’s challenges and lead to happiness.
